An elaborate programme has been rolled out to start next week that include a Business News Bulletin – a compilation of top daily and weekly stories making headlines across the Continent and the Diaspora, a Panel Discussion with Experts from different industries, and a One-on-One interview with Guests representing themselves, companies or organisations.
NAIROBI, Kenya: The Smart Africa Media yesterday added an historic online YouTube Television Channel to its convergence platform to document pro-development and success stories in Africa and the Diaspora.
The YouTube platform is soon to incorporate a Podcast Broadcast to complement the TV Channel by providing an additional outlet that receives and streams the recorded or live TV content to audience via audio.
The Nairobi-based media house has already established a fully-fledged online daily newspaper, here: https://smartcompany.africa/, with Business Correspondences and Smart Partners being cultivated in Africa and Middle East as well as in North America, Europe, among other countries where Africans live, work and invested.
The aim is to offer unreserved platform for ‘soft news’ to be disseminated to audience across the Continent and the Diaspora, with a strong emphasis on Business and Economy features that are Positive, Constructive, and Empowering.
“It’s very exciting to be part of this historic journey that’s poised to be a game-changer in the media industry in the sense that we are breaking away from the longstanding ‘traditional norm’ that only negative and controversial stories sell, Smart Africa Media Editor Elvis Mboya said.
“It’s time to demystify that unwritten rule to extend our service to the under-served market that over the years have yearned for pro-development stories that can inform, educate, inspire and open up infinite opportunities for growth and prosperity.”
According to Mboya, a programme has been rolled out to start next week that include a Business News Bulletin – a compilation of top daily and weekly stories making headlines across the Continent and the Diaspora, a Panel Discussion with Experts from different industries, and a One-on-One interview with Guests representing themselves, companies or organisations.
“Everyone is welcome on board – be it an Investor, Startup, SME, Corporate, NGO, Government, and Professionals who wish to share their pro-development and success stories from any corner of the Continent, we will connect both physically and virtually to offer the much needed platform to reach desired audience,” he said.
“[And] there is absolutely nothing wrong if media houses extend platforms that can give freedom to business-minded people to reach their desired audience – same airtime already enjoyed by politicians and civil rights activists. Mind you, businesses contribute immensely to our newsrooms and to their countries’ GDPs.”
